Innovation Expo 05

近來忙到死, 除了是兩科全新的科目要授之外, 還有就是幾個進行中的project裡最大獲*的Innovation Expo 05.
被”邀”到Innovation Expo 05擺放兩件大型installation, 是件好事. “邀”要用quotation引著因為此為一半commericial作品. 半的意思含意是有錢收 (最後還是要嘔了大舊出來請慶功), 在香港有得錢收又掛名搞藝術就預左即使你是掛記藝術家都要有點妥協, 情況跟之前Phoebe在獨立媒體的討論差不多 (http://www.inmediahk.net/public/article?item_id=61080&group_id=16)
雖說妥協, 但在我們一班為這件事而做個半死的人來說都還算是好事. 至少有個機會在公眾前展示一些技術. (雖然這類型的技術我玩了兩三年, 但今次再變種, 有新嘗試!) 再者這次展出對我來說有幾個重要目的: 一是帶領幾個學生硬闖現實世界, 好讓他們不是閉在學校自家作業而全不專業, 這次是要迫他們做到”零error”, 跟schedule, 一絲不苟. 另外就是要在眾人前展示我們的作品不只是放在gallery或博物館或festival裡, 是可以applicable. Commerical不等於沒有藝術成就, 你看英國tomato的出色! 還有還有, SCM的NMI或未來NMI學生們, 不要再問我畢業後可以做甚麼, 技術教了給你, THEORY教了給你, 你點用就要自己諗諗, 這次InnovationExpo05是個好機會等我和幾個scm的學生證明一次NMI的同學畢業後不是只能做做web designer做dvd-rom或者做看更.

*大鑊在這兩個installation是放在入口的特別設計隧道內, 隧道本身就是為這兩件installation而做, 還要做賣點, 還要給我們壓力說邊個司長邊個局長會特別參觀, 除了大鑊, 我想不到其他字眼形容此project的重要(大鑊)性.

it is so nice to know.
not just about the technology, not just about the education, but a practice of the idea that media arts can be a “commerical” project and it WORKS!
too bad i am not here in hk…
best of luck (we need it sometimes… especially when a “high govt official” walk in the tunnel… hahaha!).

嘩，居然變成藝術作品，
唔知俾ＩＴＣ見到呢個ＰＯＳＴ會點諗？ 不過這次的ＧＲＡＰＨＩＣ實在不好,無辨法,這是政府企劃，一切要聽政府話,即使是那張連在場ＨＥＬＰＥＲ都睇唔過眼的ＢＡＣＫＧＲＯUND。
anyway, 咁樣既exposure, 就算是樣衰Ｄ都可以算是搶灘成功。

i speak english when they come, but they are cantonese, stupid, i speak english when “high govt official come”, this is all wrong! 全是我在scm工作的禍。because i need to speak in english when “high people” come…..ai…..

因為我係 interactive media 既新仔 , 要好好學習
technology 既知識我真係好少(好想叫你一聲老師)…
