Talent Wanted – Hackerspace Curator and Researcher (FULL-TIME)

Description of D+D:

“Hackspace iscommunity-operated physical places, where people can meet and work on their projects.”

While Hackerspace is becoming more and more around the world, especially in Europe and US, we found hackspace is becoming a cradle of good New Media Arts Project and the collaboration between Scientist and Artist.

Hong Kong need a well-organized hackerspace to stimulate creative idea between Art and Technology, and for the Creative industry.

“d+d” , dimension + dimension, is a hackspace initated by Dimension+, aims to promote New Media Arts, stimulate new media artwork and collaboration between artists.

 

Responsibilities:

Hackerspace Curator and Researcher will bring his/her professional experience to d+d in order to:

  • Lining up the oversea hackspace and artist with d+d and Hong Kong artist to have art and culture exchange
  • Organize activities, including exhibitions, workshops, exchange and artist-in-residence, in d+d
  • Manage the physical space of d+d, including daily operation, space equipment and mini-library*
  • Research on different collaboration method for Arts and Technology
  • Promoting Hong Kong artist and hackerspace culture to oversea #

*mini-library is the library of d+d providing books and media for participants in the purpose of researches, studies and creative.

#Join-in the oversea hackspace faire and conference such as Maker Faire .

Terms and Conditions: 

  • Office hours are from 10 am to 7pm, 5 days per week. Flexibility and occasional overtime may be required.
