This is a super honor to me that my interactive installation Moving Mario awarded the Honorary Mention in PRIX ARS Electronica 2008, in the Interactive Arts Category! And Moving Mario is also exhibiting in Cyber Ars 08, Ars Electronica Festival 2008.

It is really excite to exhibit in OK Center for Contemporary Arts and joining the Ars Electronica Festival in Linz, Austria. You can find all the famous artists around the exhibition and the festival: Levelhead’s Julian Oliver, my first and the only PSP game in my life: Echochrome, by Jun Fujiki, all time master Zachary Lieberman and Theodore Watson with their Special Mention art developing platform openframeworks, digital music new hero Rectable and more and more. PRIX Ars Electronica Exhibition at OK Center for Contemporary Arts from 4 Sept to 12 Oct 2008.

I strongly recommend you should visit Ars Electronica Festival at least once in your life, it just amazing.

Moving Mario exhibited at Split Film Festival, Croatia, from 13-20th Sept 2008. The film festival has different programs including Features and Short film competition, forums, film screening and New Media exhibition, etc.

Moving Mario is exhibiting in the New Media Exhibition of Split Film Festival. In the same show, you can find Levelhead by Julian Oliver (ES) and Dune 4.0 by Daan Roosegaarde (NL) as well. (This is also an adventure of me with Julian Oliver with a strange map!)

Moving Mario exhibited at AveCom 2008, Arnhem, Holland. The theme of AveCom this year is It’s All in the Game. So it is very straight forward why Moving Mario in the exhibition!

It is also including another festival Square Eye Festival which is more focusing on video art. With the bar table in the venue, super cool team, you can feel, yes, this is the nation of freedom, with amazing people around.

Me and my best friend Marvin Hui work together and presented our work “His-story” (歷程) in Digital Archives Arts Festival (數位典藏藝術節 - 生命記憶的典藏)

“His-story” (歷程) using the photography master Mr.Lang Jingshan, exploring the relationship between the photos and text, creating a platform for audience to experience the creation of history and walking in the history.

It has 8 artist/group presenting 8 artworks in this festival. One of them is Takahiro Matsuo (松尾高弘) from Japan, just awarded in Laval Virtual 2008.

Me and my best friend Marvin Hui cannot stop working for more crazy works, that’s why we create a platform for us to share anything about crazy media, including new media, culture studies, interface culture/revolution, etc. Of course, this is also a platform for us to announce our working-in-progress, may be a just-for-fun work, may be a very serious critical artwork, who knows!
